Major changes to know:
Regarding teachers
Regarding teachers
- Year-end evaluations must be completed based on classroom observations, and should include an assessment of progress toward IDP goals for applicable teachers.
- IDPs need to be created for all probationary teachers and for tenured teachers who have been evaluated as "minimally effective" or "ineffective" on their latest year-end evaluations.
- Administrators will be evaluated on a yearly basis as well as teachers.
- Administrators who receive "highly effective" ratings on 3 consecutive year-end evaluations may be evaluated every other year afterward.
- Administrators receiving "minimally effective" or "ineffective" ratings on their year-end evaluations will receive IDPs with professional development activities designed for improvement of the weak areas.
- Administrators receiving "ineffective" ratings on 3 consecutive year-end evaluations will be dismissed, IF the same rating tool was used for all 3 evaluations.
